DESCRIPTION It is used for wall refractory ramming operation of coreless induction furnaces. Furnaces, which have different capacities , can be rammed by only one machine with adjustable working diameter. Spring – loaded mechanism allows to ram conic formers. Double piston systems are preferred for low capacity of coreless induction furnaces. WORKING PRINCIPLE When bottom ramming operation is completed, refractory former is placed into the middle of furnace. Wall ramming machine adjustment bolt is disassembled and machine working diameter is made suitable for operation in former. Refractory is filled in layer by layer and refractory is de-aired with fork tool between layers. Machine is hanged on the crane, pin locks holding the pistons are pulled off, machine is placed down into former. On account of ramming operation start from the lower part of the wall, machine is left hanging in the air with several cm away from the bottom and airflow is provided. It is started with 2 bar and pressure increase up to 4 bar. When operation starts, pistons will stroke to former, at the same time machine will turn around its own axis. For effective strokes, distance of pistons to former should be adjusted very well. Strong strokes will make machine turn around its axis. Wall refractory ramming operation is continued with machine is lifted up step by step 10 cm intervals. Determination of ramming time may be different depends on refractory material properties and terms of use so this value is indicated by operator. Operation is continued with adding refractory material when necessary. Wall refractory ramming material is stopped when its position is 10-20 cm to furnace mouth. Refractory ramming operation which is on the mouth of furnace is completed manual. F.R.L. unit should be used at the entire refractory ramming operations. ADVANTAGES · Comapcts refractory material with equal density. · Remove risks .such as cracks and gas pockets on refractory. · Completes ramming operation in a very short time. · Extends life of refractory. · More melting done with the time saving. · Manpower used more efficent and economic. | ||||||||||||||||||||
